Faculty of Law Year in Review 2023
Clinical Learning and Reconciliation saw major development
The year 2023 has gone by in a flash with many new developments taking place at the Faculty of Law. One primary areas of development was expansion of our clinical offerings for students to get hands-on experiential learning in areas of practice including business, criminal, family, civil and administrative law. Next, the office of the Director of Indigenous Legal Learning and Services did tremendous work to move forward with Indigenizing the Juris Doctor curriculum and building connections between the law school and the community with respect to Reconciliation and legal issues. Finally, the expanding Access to Justice in French concentration yielded exceptional results of the program’s efforts to train lawyers in French, by a highly successful moot season in 2023. Collected here are just a few of the top stories highlighting the Faculty of Law’s journey over the past 12 months.
