You might say that Asper BComm alum Kevin Chamagua [BComm(Hons)/18] runs a small business outside of his fulltime role as a Property and Casualty Specialist at Columbia Insurance, leveraging his Asper education in unique ways. He invests time, money and creative energy into this side gig; creating business plans, doing his own marketing, networking and managing a busy schedule for Marquesa, who is actually much more than a business.

The UM and SJC alum studied Environmental Design during his undergraduate degree, spending countless hours at St John's studying for exams and eating food with friends in the Daily Bread Cafe. He also received several SJC scholarships and bursaries to support his education.

Manager of Business Development at New Media Manitoba and Asper alum Corinne Gusnoski [BComm(Hons)/18] spends her days doing everything from consulting with Ubisoft Winnipeg to learning new applications for virtual reality (VR) technology. Despite Gusnoski’s tech-oriented work, her background is in business. Day-to-day, she works with interactive digital media companies and leverages her business expertise to support their goals.

Justice in the Age of Agnosis examines sources of oppression and the role of ignorance

A new book edited by the UM Faculty of Law's dean, Dr. Richard Jochelson, with University of Regina Department of Justice colleague Dr. James Gacek, examines sources of oppression and the role of ignorance and where it might stem from. The book titled Justice in the Age of Agnosis: Socio-Legal Explorations of Denial, Deception, and Doubt, was published by Springer as part of the Palgrave Socio-Legal Studies book series, and includes chapters written by five other legal scholars affiliated with the Robson Hall-based law faculty.
