May 4, 2023 —  As Pride Week kicks off at the end of this month, the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management, specifically Recreation Services, continues to create a welcoming space for the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

May 4, 2023 —  A study led by a University of Manitoba researcher aims to improve the mental health of teenagers living with Type 1 diabetes by increasing physical activity and assigning them a peer mentor who has gone through similar experiences.

May 3, 2023 —  The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning will be welcoming more than one hundred guests from Manitoba’s educational institutions, including the University of Manitoba, Assiniboine Community College, University of Winnipeg, Université de Saint-Boniface, University College of the North, RRC Polytech, Robertson College, and the International College of Manitoba, as well as those from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario. We are also pleased to host guests from the United Kingdom and Australia to the 3rd biannual Canadian Symposium on Academic Integrity (CSAI 2023).

May 3, 2023 —  The Office of the Dean of Law is pleased to advise that the University of Manitoba Board of Governors has confirmed the appointments of Yvan Larocque, and Andrea Doyle who will be commencing two-year Instructor II positions, and Dr. Akinwumi Ogunranti, who will commence a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Faculty of Law, all on July 1, 2023.

The Family Resource Coordinator can provide UM academics and staff with information, guidance, and support on family care matters as well as offering referrals and some coordination of family care services. May 2, 2023 —  Researchers at the University of Manitoba and the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM)have been awarded $250,000 over two years to advance cutting-edge three-dimensional (3D) bioprinting technology to create patient-specific heart models of those living with rare genetic diseases.
