June 7, 2023 —  When Valerie Wiebe [BN/93, MN/99] became the first female president and chief operating officer of Concordia Hospital in 2015, she didn’t know the facility would soon be affected by a complete overhaul of Manitoba’s health-care system.

June 6, 2023 —  Earlier this month in Niagara on the Lake, the UM conferred an honorary Doctor of Laws degree upon Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences alumni Donald Triggs, who graduated in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Honours).

June 5, 2023 —  Meet some of the exceptional members of the University of Manitoba’s class of 2023! These individuals have been awarded Governor General’s Academic Medals for outstanding achievement at their level of study.

June 5, 2023 —  Back in high school, El-Shaddai Nyakiir, knew she wanted to attend university but was unsure of what to study. After taking a variety of first year courses, the political studies program from the Faculty of Arts rose to the top of her list. In spring 2023, El-Shaddai will graduate with a bachelor of arts advanced degree in political studies with a minor in philosophy.
