UM Celebrates Work Integrated Learning month in March!

Co-op is one of the ways students can directly expand their understanding of the field. It opens many doors, leads to different horizons and illuminates different trajectories that students may not have been aware of. It also allows students to see the emerging trends in the field and get a glimpse of the direction that the industry may be heading towards.

More than 230 guests attended the 12th annual Celebrating Co-op event sponsored by North West Company at the RBC Convention Centre. Held Thursday, January 30th, Celebrating Co-op, is the Asper School of Business’ premiere event for connecting Asper co-op students and employers and also celebrates the recipients of the 2019 outstanding co-op student and employer awards.

Jennifer Simone is a fifth year biochemistry student who is also pursuing a minor in Native Studies. Jennifer had work terms with PTI Transformers in Winnipeg, and the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton. This year Jennifer has taken on the role of Student Ambassador to share her experiences with other students.
