Keenan Karish touches down with both academics and athletics

The University of Manitoba has announced that Keenan Karish, who is also one of the newest Bisons Football recruits, is one of three recipients receiving a BMO Future Indigenous Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship, valued at $ 16,000 over the course of four years. Karish will be the first Bisons athlete to win this prestigious award.

Bisons alum Bruna Mavignier makes it to Canada Soccer

April 13, 2022 — 
Bruna Mavginier, former Bisons soccer player, coach, and UM alum, has recently been hired full-time with Canada Soccer, working as a sports scientist with the NDC (National Development Centre) program in Ontario and the U-17 National Team, which will be travelling to the Dominican Republic for the Concacaf World Cup qualifiers on Thursday.

Marissa Naylor, recent Recreation Management and Community Development graduate with a minor in marketing, placed 2nd in the Team Canada tenpin bowling trials last week, earning a spot with Team Canada to compete in the World Championships that will be held in October.
