Former University of Manitoba Bison football star, David Onyemata, is headed to the East-West Shrine football game. Onyemata is only the fourth Manitoba Bisons to be selected for the prestigious event.

The Manitoba Bison men's basketball team lit up Brandon over the weekend. The herd handed the Bobcats an 86-75 loss on Friday and an 89-72 loss on Saturday.

The University of Manitoba men's basketball team improved to 4-and-2 on the season with a 74-61 drubbing of the Alberta Golden Bears over the weekend.

The National Basketball Association's 2016 All-Star Tour makes a stop at the University of Manitoba on November 20 and 21. The excitement will start on Friday when the NBA ally-oop station will be set up in the New Gym at the Frank Kennedy Centre from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Stop by and show off your best dunk!
Coleen Dufresne elected to FISU Executive

On November 8, the CIS International Committee announced the election of Coleen Dufresne, Bison athletic director, as an assessor on the Executive Committee of the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The election was held in Switzerland at the 34th FISU General Assembly.
Big win for women’s hockey

The Manitoba Bison women's hockey team earned its second consecutive shutout over the weekend in Lethbridge. The herd earned a 1-0 victory against the pronghorns and improve to 7-5-0-0 on the season.
