September 22, 2023 —  Canada’s first national disability benefit, Bill C-22, received royal assent on June 22, 2023. The bill was reintroduced in 2022 after initially being tabled two years prior.

September 22, 2023 —  The Information Services and Technology (IST) open-area computer labs are available for all students and staff. Standard software, including Microsoft 365 desktop tools, Respondus LockDown Browser, Firefox, Edge, and Chrome browsers, are installed on all lab devices. UM welcomes more than 30,000 students this Fall Term : Campus News

September 21, 2023 —  The University of Manitoba has kicked off the 2023 Fall Term with enrolment up 2.9 percent, welcoming 30,466 students on the first day of classes.

The Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union and Manitoba Public Insurance are set to meet with a conciliator Thursday. Ahead of the meeting, MGEU president Kyle Ross spoke with picketing MPI workers.

UM assistant prof named Future Leader in Canadian Brain Research : Campus News

September 21, 2023 —  Dr. Henry A. Dunn, an assistant professor in the department of pharmacology and therapeutics at the Max Rady College of Medicine within the University of Manitoba, is 1 of 28 recipients of the 2023 Future Leaders in Canadian Brain Research (FLCBR) fund. This program provides funding of $100,000 to support innovative research focused on developing solutions to brain disorders and diseases including ALS, epilepsy and brain injuries.
