Master of Human Rights Practicum Symposium 2022 brings students and mentors together : Network News
January 20, 2023 — The Master of Human Rights program’s annual Practicum Symposium took place on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. The symposium gives students enrolled in the interdisciplinary graduate degree’s practicum stream an opportunity to present their major research papers and share experiences working at their respective placement sites.

Faculty of Law introduces “Jurists of Robson Hall” : Network News
January 19, 2023 — In the fall of 2022, the Faculty of Law recognized some its sessional instructors, referred to as “Practicing Professionals,” for the long years of hard work they contributed to the education of future generations of lawyers. Practicing Professionals who taught for at least 10 or more years were formally recognized as “Jurists of Robson Hall” and were presented with brass plaques expressing thanks for their dedication.

New funding bolsters mental health on UM campus : Network News
January 19, 2023 — The University of Manitoba (UM) has received a $100,000 grant from Bell Let’s Talk Post-Secondary Fund to support mental health initiatives on its campuses. UM is one of 10 universities in Canada to receive such funding and it will go towards establishing a new Student Wellness Centre (SWC).
