April 24, 2023 —  Information Services and Technology (IST) has partnered with Cisco on the next generation of networking for the University of Manitoba. The Network Segmentation Project was launched in April of 2021 to design and implement a new and improved campus-wide network. This new network and its associated technologies will improve network security, stability, and ease of use for all students, staff and faculty. Our IT support staff will also see improvements in administration, automation, and analysis.

April 21, 2023 —  Equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) was the theme at the 13th annual Advanced Practice Nursing conference hosted by the Graduate Nursing Students’ Association (GNSA) on April 5.

April 21, 2023 —  The feature-length film from local film production company Build Films, follows a group of scientists from the Centre for Earth Observation in the Clayton H. Riddell Faculty of Environment, Earth, and Resources as they conducted research to distinguish the effects of climate change from hydroelectric regulation of freshwater on Hudson Bay.

April 21, 2023 —  The University of Manitoba has undergone heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) improvements over the last few years to support optimal quality of air and comfort for students, faculty, staff and visitors to UM campuses.

April 20, 2023 —  Scott Durling is a part-time graduate student working with The Green Minds project to support students with climate crisis and mental health.

April 19, 2023 —  Catherine Hyska sat patiently in the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry’s clinic waiting room. She’s spent a lot of time in that space over the years. The 93-year-old has been a patient at the dental school since 1966.
