Over 50 projects, with topics ranging from HIV stigmatization to the health effects of electronic cigarettes were covered at the College of Rehabilitation Sciences (CoRS) Student Research Symposium, June 19 at the Bannatyne campus.

Applications for the Community Leadership Development Program, with a focus on Poverty are now open!

The Community Leadership Development Program is a 6-week training program that is designed to provide attendees with foundational knowledge and skills in anti-oppression, poverty awareness, and working with resource-scarce communities. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain meaningful education that will aid them in developing the necessary skills to become leaders within their communities through participation in the following sessions:

Commuter Challenge 2019 results
June 21, 2019 —
The Commuter Challenge results are in! From June 2-8, University of Manitoba participants logged over 30,000 KMs by foot, bike, bus or carpool, and avoided almost 6,000 KGs of CO2 emissions in just one week!

Asper student Jared Kozak on finding your niche as an Indigenous programmer
June 19, 2019 —
Asper undergraduate student Jared Kozak started working with technology in high school, when he offered to build a system to book tutors for his school district’s peer tutoring program. Kozak started to get a hang of building and the system began to shape up. It was then that Kozak realized he had a real interest for programming.
