February 26, 2020 — 
Ma thèse en 180 secondes is a French-language communication contest launched by Acfas (Association francophone pour le savoir) in 2012, modeling the 3MT competition founded by The University of Queensland in 2008. Each challenger, in three minutes or less, must present a clear, concise explanation of their research project, in French.

February 13, 2020 — 
Any grad student who has tried to explain their thesis to someone at a party will likely risk glazed eyes and a polite “excuse me,” after about five minutes. The idea of getting months and sometimes years of research across in only three minutes, is daunting. Kevin Sharma will bravely attempt this feat when he represents the Faculty of Law in the upcoming 3MT heats on February 27th.

Before the 3MT competition final on Mar. 24, 36 challengers will square off in the heats on Feb. 24, 25 and 27

Orientation volunteers and more experienced Orientation team leaders build skills in leadership and communication, and receive credit on their co-curricular record (CCR).

The Rady Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Graduate Studies are co-hosting a Graduate Studies Open House on February 19, 2020 on the Bannatyne campus. This event will allow students considering graduate studies in the health sciences to explore their options.

Invent for the Planet, a sustainability focused 48-Hour international idea and design competition, is open to all students (undergraduate and graduate) from all faculties and post-secondary institutions across Manitoba.
