September 13, 2021 —  University of Manitoba professor Dr. James Blanchard will give this year’s Class of 1972 Arnold Naimark Lecture in Medicine and Society virtually on Sept. 17 at 12 p.m.

September 13, 2021 —  Drs. Keith Fowke and Ruth Ann Marie of the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences have been appointed as Fellows.

September 10, 2021 —  This summer was unusual for 3L Shawn Singh. For one thing, he worked as a research assistant for Assistant Professor Brandon Trask, published three articles including two in the Manitoba Law Journal, and one in a book published by Springer Nature. He got married – that was huge. Oh yes, and he was the only law student to be selected to take part in the University of Manitoba President’s Student Leadership Summer Program.

September 10, 2021 —  Frances Koncan [BA/2010] is the newest Writer-In-Residence at The Centre for Creative Writing and Oral Culture (CCWOC) at the University of Manitoba. Koncan will work with students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the public from September to December 2021.

September 10, 2021 —  Twenty years after the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences continues to honour the legacy of Dr. Christine Egan, a Max Rady College of Medicine alumna who was visiting her brother, Michael, at the World Trade Center in New York when the twin towers were struck by hijacked passenger jets in the infamous terrorist attack.
