September photo contest: #ShowYourBisonPride
Welcome to your first year at UM— we are so excited to have you! Did you know that the bison is an integral part of our UM identity? Our logo features Manitoba’s bison on the rising prairie landscape. She’s walking uphill, into the wind, representing strength, leadership and determination. You are now part of a large community of Bisons, and that’s something to be proud of!
That is why we are running a contest on @UMFirstYearCentre to see how you show your Bison Pride. From now until September 23, 2021, post a photo including any symbol of the UM (this could be the UM logo, Billy the Bison, or a Bisons jersey, get creative!) using the hashtag #ShowYourBisonPride and be entered to win 1 of 5 $25 gift cards to the bookstore!
Here’s a little hint – you could look to your First Year Welcome Package for some inspiration. We can’t wait to see how you show your Bison pride!
RULES AND REGULATIONS
This Instagram Photo Contest (#ShowYourBisonPride) runs from 1 p.m. CST on Thursday, September 9, 2021 to midnight CST on Thursday, September 23, 2021 on www.instagram.com/umfirstyearcentre.
To be entered to win, follow @UMFirstYearCentre on Instagram, post a photo or video adhering to the monthly theme, and use the contest hashtag. PRIVATE Instagram accounts must be PUBLIC during the contest in order to qualify for entry.
Images depicting dangerous behaviour or the consumption of alcohol, cannabis or illegal substances will not be eligible. All other entries posted during the contest period will be considered and one winner will be chosen. You may enter as many times as you like. The winning photos’ account owner will receive one of five gift cards from the UM Bookstore valued at $25.
The winning entries will be chosen by the Marketing and Communications Office and will be selected based on composition, creativity, quality and adherence to the theme. The winners will be notified by Instagram direct message and then announced publicly on the account.
Contest is open to all residents of Manitoba, and the prize will be mailed to winner. By using the contest hashtag, you are agreeing to allow the UM to share your photo(s) on our social media accounts and on our news site, UM Today.
Your photo(s) will not be used for commercial purposes. This contest is in no way sponsored, administered, or associated with Instagram, Inc.
By entering, entrants confirm they are 13+ years of age, release Instagram of responsibility, and agree to Instagram’s terms of use.
