Microsoft 365 project update : Network News

April 20, 2021 —  The Office 365 Project Team would like to thank all staff and faculty for your support during our rollout of Microsoft 365 licenses and the email accounts migrations to the new Microsoft environment. Our project was planned to begin last summer, but the pandemic intervened. As a result, the project rolled out new licenses to all staff and faculty last March so everyone would have access to Microsoft's online tools for collaboration.

Do you use digital signatures? Tell us why or why not : Network News

April 20, 2021 —  Information Services and Technology is currently reviewing examples of how digital signatures are used as part of the university’s waste reduction initiative. A “digital signature” uses encryption to validate the authenticity of a software, message, or digital file. Using mathematically generated code, it is secure enough to be considered legal and binding in Canada.

April 19, 2021 —  Receiving an epidural for pain relief in labour does not increase the child’s risk of autism spectrum disorder, a UM study shows. The findings contradict those of a widely criticized California study.
