Moot Report 2023: Success for Robson Hall at the Donald G. H. Bowman National Tax Moot – Best Appellant Factum : Network News

March 10, 2023 —  Over the weekend of March 3-4, 2023, the University of Manitoba participated in the Donald G. H. Bowman National Tax Moot. The colours of Robson Hall were carried by Brandon Gray (3L), and Sawarn Benning (2L), Matthew London (2L) and Justin Papoff (2L) as oralists, with support from Ben Maness (3L) as the researcher. Coaches Professor Darcy MacPherson and David Silver (Department of Justice, Canada) were very pleased and proud of the team’s performance. The team was rewarded with the prize for Best Appellant Factum.

Get to know the Director of the School of Art, Dr. Edward Jurkowski : Campus News

March 10, 2023 —  Dr. Edward Jurkowski was recently appointed as Director of the School of Art (SOA), from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2027. Also serving as the Dean of the Desautels Faculty of Music and as a tenured professor in the faculty, he is a highly esteemed leader whose 25 years of experience will lead the SOA into the future. We chatted with Dr. Jurkowski about what has inspired him as a student and professor, what he hopes for the future, and what he enjoys in his free time.
