The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning hosted the third biannual Canadian Symposium on Academic Integrity on June 1 and 2, 2023. Staff with the help of many volunteers from within and outside of the University of Manitoba ensured an incredibly successful event.

The 2023 Stu Clark New Venture Championships welcomed student entrepreneurs from across North America to compete for the opportunity to kickstart their unique and diverse ventures.

In the fall of 2021, Stephanie Chesser, assistant professor in the faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management, gave her students a unique assignment.

The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) Program provides opportunities for professors, instructors and librarians to meaningfully engage in projects that increase knowledge in pedagogy and learning. For newly graduated teachers and instructors beginning their careers, making the transition from learning in a classroom to teaching in front of a classroom can often be a daunting one. While their university studies have prepared them to be an expert in their field, what they may not be totally prepared for is the experience of teaching itself.

Since 2014, the University of Manitoba has invested over $50 million in retrofitting older classrooms, upgrading and expanding classroom technology, and equipping teachers with modern tools for providing an inclusive, adaptable learning environment.
