November 17, 2021 — 
The Career Development Centre at the Asper School of Business is saddened by the passing of longtime co-op employer Frank Chamarengah. Chamarengah leaves a legacy of mentoring over 25 Asper School of Business co-op students since 2013. He consistently took in one or two students every work term, leaving a lasting impact on students and alumni.

September 10, 2021 — 
This summer was unusual for 3L Shawn Singh. For one thing, he worked as a research assistant for Assistant Professor Brandon Trask, published three articles including two in the Manitoba Law Journal, and one in a book published by Springer Nature. He got married – that was huge. Oh yes, and he was the only law student to be selected to take part in the University of Manitoba President’s Student Leadership Summer Program.

July 20, 2021 — 
Kelly Mahoney, UM alumna and Director of the Asper Career Development Centre, heads to Tokyo to serve as head referee for triathlon

June 22, 2021 — 
The Indigenous Art Committee at the I.H. Asper School of Business is seeking proposals for an art project to be installed on the main floor atrium stairwell in the Drake Building. Two dimensional or low relief work will be considered, including murals with permanent paint or other wall-mounted media.  

June 17, 2021 — 
For new Asper alumni, Shyam Narayan Moorthi, completing his MBA is just one of the many steps in his long-term plan. The next steps for Morthi are to embark the next stage of his career and bring his family to Canada.

March 24, 2021 — 
On March 12, UM students added another case competition win by placing first at the Munich Re Cup, an actuarial business case competition open to students in the Canada and United States. The competition provides a chance for students to develop and apply their analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills to real-world business problems. 

February 26, 2021 — 
The Asper School of Business and the James W. Burns Leadership Institute will be holding an international  conference designed to encourage and present research that deepens our knowledge of Indigenous matters within the context of management studies
