Staying connected leads to a chance to help out

Hard work and hope that his actions could contribute toward bettering his community were factors that motivated Hardeep Suri [JD/2023] to apply for the Donich Entrepreneurial Scholarship in November, 2021. That small step in applying and then keeping in contact with the Scholarship’s donor and Donich Law firm principal Jordan Donich, led to an opportunity to help develop an online research assistant designed to improve access to justice.

Experiential learning key to career success for actuarial BComm grad

Cassie Phaneuf [BComm(Hons)/22] majored in actuarial mathematics at the Asper School of Business before securing an internship at Intact Insurance in Montréal. Despite her specialization, her first assigned project involved more than traditional actuarial work. With the breadth of her business education, Phaneuf was well-prepared.

What are the criteria and markers of an epidemic’s end, and who has the insight, authority, and credibility to decipher these signs? Join Dr. Erica Charters, professor of the global history of medicine at the University of Oxford for an insightful conversation on how war, disease, and state formation intersect. Erica Charters currently leads a multidisciplinary project on How Epidemics End.
