January 29, 2024 —  February is Black History Month in Canada and to mark its significance, we will take a look back at some UM history, and share current resources and upcoming events that are open to all.

January 29, 2024 —  A new program being piloted through the Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning aims to support faculty in developing skills for various aspects of teaching, including interpersonal communication, conflict management and negotiation that can be a challenge to practice.

January 29, 2024 —  Sandra Webber [BMRPT/90, M.Sc./96, PhD/10], a lifelong sports enthusiast, started playing the burgeoning sport of pickleball about five years ago. Now she’s on the court three or four times per week.

January 26, 2024 —  The Faculty of Law congratulates Natasha Brown [BEd/2001; LLB/2005] on being presented with the Manitoba Bar Association’s 2023 Access to Justice award for her contributions. Brown was presented with the award at the MBA 2024 Mid-Winter Conference awards luncheon held on January 19.

January 26, 2024 —  Whether it's during a class, around the science faculty, or in the St John's College Student Association lounge, you can often find Karis Park studying or socializing with her colleagues in these places. We sat down with the fourth-year science student, also a 2023 St John's scholarship recipient, about her experience at St John's and how her student membership has improved her student experience at UM.
