The University of Manitoba is pleased to announce the following appointment and extension: Dr. Edward Jurkowski has been appointed Director, School of Art for the period of January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2027.

Open Structure exhibition explores the subtle rhythms and systems that structure our lives and considers how sound, music, and touch can offer new perspectives on systems, such as identity and the rules that govern our lives, providing space to pause, gather, and dream.

One of the world's best-known Moholy-Nagy researchers, art historian, curator, and School of Art Professor Dr. Oliver Botar received the Moholy-Nagy Award on October 27 from Rector József Fülöp at the MOME Campus.

November 22, 2022 — 
A collaborative exhibition showcasing the obscure ties between the craft of Beading and the craft of Sculpture. 

September 22, 2022 — 
In June 2021, the School of Art Gallery at the University of Manitoba launched its Visiting Curator Program. The Visiting Curator Program was designed to play a vital role in defining contemporary art and its attendant discourses in Western Canada and beyond.

August 22, 2022 — 
Moving Matter: Between rock and stone is an exhibition about Tyndall limestone, a building material quarried from a 450-million-year-old body of rock.
