7 Rady Faculty students make 3MT finals

Seven of the 12 finalists in the University of Manitoba’s Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition are Rady Faculty of Health Sciences graduate students. The participants will be competing in the final tonight (April 7, 2022) at 7 p.m.

Rady researchers to develop ‘placenta on a chip’ and living lab platform

Two Rady Faculty of Health Sciences faculty members and researchers at the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM) were recently awarded New Investigator Research Grants from the Sick Kids Foundation, a national health education group, and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Institute of Human Development, Child and Youth Health.

Muslim prayer room opens on Bannatyne campus

Muslim students in the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences now have a dedicated space for prayer on the Bannatyne campus. The new Muslim prayer room is in Room 121 in the Chown Building. The space gives Muslims, who traditionally engage in prayer five times per day, an easily accessible private room.
