July 11, 2024 — 
The Office of the Provost and Vice-President (Academic) is pleased to announce 35 projects awarded funding, totaling over $2.2 million, through the Strategic Initiatives Support Fund (SISF). As the newly funded projects get underway, many projects from last year’s SISF fund have been completed. Read about three examples of impact from the SISF 2023-2024.

May 6, 2024 — 
University of Manitoba employees can now benefit from culturally sensitive counselling services through a new Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) Kii by CloudMD. Kii offers mental health supports for the BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ communities, along with Elder and Knowledge Keeper supports for Indigenous employees.

April 22, 2024 — 
Ensure grade accuracy & compliance. Deadlines matter: May 3, 4:00 pm. Navigate departmental approvals, late submissions, and final grade submission.

April 16, 2024 — 
Starting May 1, the University of Manitoba is switching from Telus Health to Kii by CloudMD for their Employee and Family Assistance Program. EFAP is a program available to all UM employees and provides free access to mental health and wellness services.

January 12, 2024 — 
Applications due to HR March 1, 2024; program starts April 1, 2024

December 18, 2023 — 
Several minor changes are coming to payroll in the New Year, including a CPP/EI rate change and new TD1 forms.

November 29, 2023 — 
Learning & Organizational Development (LOD) has announced that registration is opening up for January and February 2024 workshops. LOD programs and services are fully funded by Human Resources as part of its commitment to employee development, with courses available exclusively to University of Manitoba employees.

October 10, 2023 — 
Take Our Kids to Work Day is an event for participating Grade 9 students to learn about the diverse roles and jobs in the current labour market.

October 3, 2023 — 
Initially offered in 2017, Responding to Disclosures continues to be a valuable workshop designed to help faculty and staff members prepare for a situation in which someone discloses an experience of sexual violence to them.
