Team-based learning institute held at the U of M a first of its kind in Canada
November 6, 2019 —
Fifty post-secondary educators from Manitoba and British Columbia attended the inaugural Team-Based Learning Fundamentals Institute hosted by the Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning in early November. The participants are now equipped to incorporate team-based learning into their courses.

Decolonizing and internationalizing curriculum through building common ground

The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning is hosting a two-day workshop on November 13 and 14 on decolonizing and internationalizing curriculum through building common ground. The workshop will explore three areas of teaching and learning in higher education: positionality, facilitation, and curriculum development.

Instructors to update to iClicker Cloud 5.0 by August 16

iClicker Cloud 4.6 will no longer work nor be supported as of August 16. The new version 5.0 will be required for Fall 2019 courses.

On May 6, 2019, the Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning hosted the 27th Annual Students’ Teacher Recognition Reception (STRR). The event gave outstanding graduating students a chance to publicly recognize and thank those primary, secondary and post-secondary teachers who were instrumental in their academic success.
