Student-led physio clinic offers interprofessional approach

This spring, for the first time in 20 years, the College of Rehabilitation Sciences’ student-led Physical Therapy Neuro Rehab Clinic brought in students from three additional health disciplines for a trial run of a more holistic approach to patient care.

UM distinguished professor in Rady appointed to Order of Canada

Dr. Grant Pierce was appointed Member of the Order of Canada for his contributions as a distinguished professor of physiology and pathophysiology at the Max Rady College of Medicine and for identifying the value of foods like flaxseed in the prevention of cardiovascular disease.

Grad students recognized at UM student health research forum

June 28, 2023 — 
Over 130 graduate students from across the province, and representing a variety of health disciplines, presented their research in this year’s poster competition at the Manitoba Student Health Research Forum (MSHRF) as part of the three-day event at the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences. “This event is all about the grad students. It provides opportunity for them to present their research, refine their communication skills and be recognized for their achievements through the large suite of awards,” said Dr. Samantha Pauls, assistant professor at the College of Pharmacy and co-chair of the MSHRF.
