September 29, 2021 — 
Over 80 students, faculty, staff and guests attended an emotional 80-minute virtual ceremony held by the Nursing Students’ Association (NSA) and College of Nursing, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences to mark Every Child Matters – Orange Shirt Day on Sept. 29

September 10, 2021 — 
Twenty years after the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences continues to honour the legacy of Dr. Christine Egan, a Max Rady College of Medicine alumna who was visiting her brother, Michael, at the World Trade Center in New York when the twin towers were struck by hijacked passenger jets in the infamous terrorist attack. 

August 27, 2021 — 
Five graduate students from the College of Nursing, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences were recently designated as 2021 Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF) scholars, including two who received an award with a connection to the college’s history.

July 16, 2021 — 
College of Nursing, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences professor and world-renowned researcher Dr. Tom Hack has been recognized by UM with the title of Distinguished Professor.

July 14, 2021 — 
Dr. Mostafa Fayek, Dr. Thomas Hack, and Dr. Sandra Kouritzin are 2021 recipients, effective May 19

June 8, 2021 — 
Tara Horrill, who is set to graduate with her PhD from the College of Nursing, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences on June 15, and Anisa Isse, who earned a UM nursing PhD in 2019, both had the rare opportunity to speak to members of Parliament over the last two months.

The College of Nursing, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences awarded five students in its master’s and PhD programs at the annual Helen Glass Research Symposium (HGRS) Graduate Student Poster Competition on April 29 as part of the three-day online event.

The College of Nursing, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences is hosting a new course this fall that will explore the role, experiences and needs of family caregivers

April 13, 2021 — 
The Summer Research Training Institute is a program that offers a variety of workshops designed to provide introductory research skills and knowledge for students, research assistants, research staff, and faculty members. Any faculty member or researcher, their students and research staff that are affiliated with any of the partnering units may participate.
