June 10, 2024 —  Following the Landscape Architecture Accreditation Council (LAAC) feedback, the Master of Landscape Architecture has updated their program requirements for students starting in Fall 2024.

June 10, 2024 —  Did you know that end-of-life battery recycling is mandated by the Province of Manitoba? This means that batteries cannot be disposed of in the landfill or recycling bins. Since its inception in 2011, the University of Manitoba’s Battery Recycling Program has diverted more than 5.7 tonnes of common household batteries from landfill, the equivalent of approximately 3 hippopotamuses.

June 10, 2024 —  Twenty years ago, a young professor at the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Law approached the Dean with an idea: to ask the Manitoba Court of Appeal to take on third year law students as clerks to gain hands-on experience in seeing how the Province’s top court operates. As the 20th fall term of the program approaches, the Faculty and the Court realized the impact of the program’s long-lasting legacy and summoned alumni of the program from far and wide to celebrate at a luncheon held on May 10th, 2024.

June 10, 2024 —  The Faculty of Law’s L. Kerry Vickar Business Law Clinic and Manitoba Legal Clinic for the Arts have expanded capacity this summer, hiring a record number of seven law students.

June 10, 2024 —  The University of Manitoba's 2024 Gold Medalist in Law, Keelin Griffin was drawn to the legal profession in order to do work that was “interesting, complex and challenging,” that would also allow her to work with and for people in order to make meaningful change.
