First graduates of Inclusive Language and Literacy Master of Education

The University of Manitoba Fort Garry campus is a long way from the tiny community of Pukatawagan in Northern Manitoba. A settlement of the Mathias Colomb Cree First Nation, it has approximately a population of 3500 and is accessible only via the train from Pukatawagan to The Pas, or plane and on an ice road in the winter.

Convocation October 2020: LLM Student Steve Falkingham

Majoring in Classics at the University of Manitoba may not have led Steve Falkingham directly to a career in corporate and commercial law at a major Winnipeg firm, but it may have been a factor in his dedication to continuing his education. Being a strong advocate for lifelong learning definitely had a role in his decision to return to his law school alma mater to complete a Master's degree in Law, from which he graduates this fall.

The effects of COVID-19 on health services was a running theme at the Collaborating for Health and Wellness Virtual Research Conference, hosted last week by the College of Rehabilitation Sciences, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences with the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management, the Applied Health Sciences doctoral program and School of Rehabilitation Science, University of Saskatchewan (USask).
