The UM Sustainability Awards recognize and celebrate the collaborative efforts of students, staff and faculty to advance UM’s commitment to excellence and leadership in sustainability. The following winners of the 2022 Sustainability Awards were selected by a committee and received their awards at UM Sustainability Day on March 10.

March 4, 2022 — 
The Barkman Concrete design competition is open to any student enrolled in the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Manitoba. This year, the task was to design, lay out, and detail a segmental retaining wall product.

March 3, 2022 — 
Saba Mirhosseini, a M.Arch student, has won recognition in the RAIC International Prize Scholarship competition.

March 2, 2022 — 
Dr. Sarah Cooper and graduate students in the Department of City Planning have co-authored The State of the Inner City Report: Placing Community at the Heart of the Recovery from COVID.

Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation recognize three Master of Landscape Architecture students

Environmental Design students have earned first, second and third place awards for their submissions to the Undergraduate Research Poster Competition in the Creative Works category.
