CBC/WPF: Alum Paul Soubry leads New Flyer to purchase of MCI

As CBC and the Winnipeg Free Press report:

Winnipeg bus manufacturer New Flyer is purchasing Motor Coach Industries for $604 million Cdn, the company said Tuesday.

“I just think that I’m really, really proud of our teams to be able to put us in the position to make this come true,” said Paul Soubry, New Flyer’s president and chief executive officer. “For the people of Manitoba and the employees of New Flyer and MCI it’s really an exciting combination.”

Soubry, a U of M alumnus [BComm(Hons)/84], is also the campaign chair of the University of Manitoba’s Front and Centre campaign.
