September 10, 2020 —  Nine UM community members will receive the Order of Manitoba today at an intimate, reduced-capacity investiture ceremony at the Manitoba Legislative Building.

September 9, 2020 —  Asper Assistant Professor in Finance, Dr. Shiu-Yik (Yik) Au, and his co-investigator, Andréanne Tremblay from Université Lavalhave been awarded a prestigious Social Services and Humanities Council Research Insight Grant (SSHRC) Insight Grant to support their research on the impact discrimination has on firm value.

September 9, 2020 —  While this two-day protest is amplifying the goals of the Black Lives Matter Movement, it is important to acknowledge that this work must be ongoing. I hope that all of our engagement with the Scholars Strike will help us identify concrete actions that the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management can take to end systemic racism.

September 9, 2020 —  First day numbers are in, and though subject to change, they show that Fall 2020 enrolment at the University of Manitoba is at a higher level than this time in 2019, largely due to a notable increase in part-time students.
