UM embraces new way of documenting student experiences : Network News

September 25, 2023 —  The UM launched the Experience Catalogue last September, to allow students to browse through experiential learning and student involvement activities that are taking place in courses (curricular) and outside of the classroom (co-curricular). Currently, there are over 700 experiences, showcased in the Catalogue, and when students participate in these activities, the experience will be captured on their Experience Record.

September 25, 2023 —  From forging intergenerational connections to providing basic necessities to the community’s most vulnerable, the fifth cohort of the President’s Student Leadership Program (PSLP) recently completed five innovative and meaningful community leadership projects. PSLP brings together student leaders from post-secondary institutions across Manitoba, with specialties ranging from microbiology to marketing, at levels ranging from diploma to doctoral programs.

Changes to IST open-area labs effective October 2023 : Network News

September 22, 2023 —  The Information Services and Technology (IST) open-area computer labs are available for all students and staff. Standard software, including Microsoft 365 desktop tools, Respondus LockDown Browser, Firefox, Edge, and Chrome browsers, are installed on all lab devices.
