A letter from Farley Mowat to the University of Manitoba

Canadian author Farley Mowat has died at the age of 92, five days before of his 93rd birthday, news outlets report.

Here is a letter he wrote, previously unpublished and unique to the University of Manitoba.

“In 1997, when I was editor of the Alumni Journal, now On Manitoba, I received this letter,” says Chris Rutkowski, a communications officer at the U of M. “We didn’t print it, but I had wanted to.”
