In 2026, the joint Masters of Public Administration (MPA) program offered by the University of Manitoba and University of Winnipeg will celebrate its 50th anniversary. On November 23, 2023, a reception was held to kick off a series of events to honour their milestone year. A number of alumni, current students and public administration leaders, along with MPA faculty and senior university officials from both institutions joined together to celebrate excellence in public administration education and launch a 50th anniversary scholarship donation campaign.

Congratulations to the Bachelor of Social Work cohort graduates

Congratulations to the graduates of the Cree Nation Child and Family Caring Agency / Opaskwayak Cree Nation Child and Family Services’ Bachelor of Social Work cohort. The cohort officially started the program in January 2021 with the intention of in-person learning in the community of Opaskwayak Cree Nation. However, due to the pandemic restrictions, students were challenged with new technologies and new methods of learning, all while working full-time and caring for their families. This Fall, 10 cohort students graduated with their BSW degree. Meet some of our graduates.
