University-UMFA Bargaining Update

Continuation of funding

May 31, 2016 — 

As a follow-up to previous communications regarding the continuation of travel and expense funds, the University of Manitoba would like to communicate other funding that will continue beyond the expiration of the 2013-2016 Collective Agreement.

Maternity and parental leave top-ups will continue, as well as all group benefits at current levels, such as extended medical insurance, health care spending account, dental and Employee and Family Assistance Plan (EFAP). A full listing of benefits can be found on the compensation, benefits & pension website.

Administrative stipends and northern allowance stipends will also be maintained at the current level.

Salaries will continue at the same amount as the previous year. However, both increments and general increases cannot be awarded until a contract is settled. Anomalies funding and merit awards are similarly on hold until a contract is concluded.
