U of M Anniversary Awards 2018

The university thanks faculty and staff for their contributions

December 17, 2018 —

The University of Manitoba anniversary awards recognized faculty and staff for their years of service during a luncheon on Wednesday, December 5 at the Fort Garry campus and at the Bannatyne campus on Monday, December 10.

The annual event celebrates individuals with 10 years of service, followed by 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 and 55 years. Over 900 faculty and staff were recognized for their contributions and commitment to making the University an outstanding learning and working environment, and valuable member of the larger community.

“It’s nice to see all faculty and support staff come together to celebrate the many years of service,” said Lynn Bohonos, administrative assistant, learning and organizational development, human resources.

“This year’s anniversary awards are particularly special because we are honouring Henry Heller, professor with the Faculty of Arts, for his 55 years of service at the University. Unfortunately, he was unable to attend the awards luncheon because he was teaching a class. This speaks to his unwavering commitment to our students and community.”

Additional information about the anniversary awards can be found on the human resources website. A list of the 2018 anniversary award celebrants can be found here.
