October 17, 2024 — 
The first Sunday of November is always a special time for the St John’s College community. It’s a time when we bestow honorary degrees in recognition of those who have made significant contribution to both St John’s community and the country. It is also when we celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates as well as our scholarship and bursary recipients. For the 2024 convocation on November 3, SJC is proud to recognize Rt Rev. Helen Kennedy, Dr. Evelyn Forget, and Mr. Jim Ripley. Each of these individuals has had a significant impact on our community, whether as students, on the Council, or in our chapel.

June 12, 2024 — 
St John's college scholarships and bursaries provide University of Manitoba students with academic excellence as they look to continue their studies and move their respective careers forward in various ways. This year, the college was proud to present $200,000 worth of scholarships to students from faculties including, Science, Arts, Engineering, Asper School of Business, Nursing, Health Sciences, Indigenous students, and University 1 students, to name a few.   

May 30, 2024 — 
They are some of the brightest high school graduates in the province, and soon they will be entering the University of Manitoba as leaders of tomorrow.

May 15, 2024 — 
Funding available for UM students pursuing their educational goals

February 7, 2024 — 
Two University of Manitoba students are finalists for the McCall MacBain Scholarships, Canada’s largest leadership-based scholarships for master’s and professional studies.

October 26, 2023 — 
The college is a place for students to meet new people, find community, and amplify their student experience with our membership, including access to our scholarships and bursaries open to all UM students.

September 18, 2023 — 
Planning to pursue a master’s or second-entry undergraduate program at McGill University next fall? Apply for the McCall MacBain Scholarship before Sept. 27, 2023, and you could win 1 of 30 fully funded scholarships or 1 of 100 finalist awards.

July 21, 2023 — 
The DesCan Foundation officially announces the recipients of the Manitoba Studio Fund (MSF) Scholarship Awards.

June 9, 2023 — 
Nine high school students seeking admission to UM have been awarded BMO Financial Group Leader of Tomorrow and BMO Financial Group Indigenous Leader of Tomorrow scholarships.

February 14, 2022 — 
UM student Bryden Bukich [BKin/21] is in the running for the McCall MacBain Scholarships, Canada’s first comprehensive leadership-based scholarship program for master’s and professional studies. UM student Lindsay Bain [BA/22] earned a regional award, which can be used at any public university in Canada
