While grocery stores may have in recent years reduced the use of plastic bags, shoppers still often come home with multiple items encased in plastic packaging. It has become such a part of our daily lives that is may seem difficult to imagine how we can escape it.

UM Researchers in Food and Human Nutritional Sciences attract $1.5 million in funding from CIHR

Two studies led by UM researchers in the Department of Food and Human Nutritional Sciences have received over $1.5 million in funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). This funding will support innovative research in cardiovascular disease prevention and fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD).
