Science Library closes for renovation beginning May 1, 2024
April 5, 2024 —
As part of the Machray Hall redevelopment, the Jim Peebles Science and Technology Library (Science Library) will be closed to walk-in use beginning May 1, 2024. Access to print and digital collections, librarians, and other services will continue to be available during the closure. The library will undergo a transformation, resulting in new student study spaces and services.

PhD student receives Indigenous Scholar Award

On April 3rd, The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Brain Canada and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research announced that University of Manitoba PhD student Melissa Anderson is among the inaugural recipients of the Personnel Awards for Indigenous Scholars.

New graduate hopes to inspire other Inuit to pursue engineering

RJ Oolooyuk is from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut and is graduating from the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2024. RJ is the first Inuk student to graduate from the Price Faculty of Engineering. He is providing an exemplary example of passion and perseverance to help inspire other Inuit to complete an education in engineering.
