UM presented UMFA with a strong offer that included a two-year monetary proposal with 5.9% increases from both general salary increases across the board and changes to the salary structure that would increase total salaries an average of 9.5% over two years and substantially increase lifetime earnings of members

November 1, 2021 — 
UM and UMFA have agreed to continue mediation on Monday and continue negotiating a new collective agreement.

The UM bargaining team and representatives for UMFA continue to negotiate a revised collective agreement with UM presenting a revised monetary proposal at the Oct. 13 meeting.

September 24, 2021 —

August 5, 2021 — 
Negotiations will begin this summer on a new collective agreement between the University of Manitoba and the University of Manitoba Faculty Association (UMFA).

November 21, 2020 — 
The agreement is now final and classes continue as normal

October 30, 2020 —

November 3, 2017 — 
The University of Manitoba and UNIFOR have successfully reached a tentative agreement (the current collective agreement expired on March 24, 2017).
