August 22, 2023 —  The largest medical class in University of Manitoba history – the Class of 2027 – will be cloaked in their first white coats as part of Inaugural Day Exercises for the Max Rady College of Medicine on Aug. 23.

August 21, 2023 —  Old-grown trees provide shade, store carbon and memories. The Department of Landscape Architecture celebrated its 50th Anniversary with events throughout the 2022/23 academic year. A tree planting on May 30th in remembrance of 50 years of learning and teaching landscape architecture in Manitoba and of Alexander Rattray, founder and first head of the Department of Landscape Architecture, was the final event of the half-of-a-century celebrations. This horticultural initiative by Dietmar Straub was intended to be a humble but long-lasting contribution to the Fort Garry Campus tree canopy and people’s memory.
