University staff from the 2016 celebration

Nominate staff for an awards of excellence

Choose from five award categories; nominations due April 13

March 28, 2017 —

Do you know a staff member who does an excellent job coordinating university programs and services? Or, a staff who starts the workday by cleaning the university’s hallways and shared spaces? Any staff member in service, support and administrative roles is eligible for an award; nominations are due April 13.

All faculty and staff can nominate a peer, colleague, team or someone who provides exceptional service. There are five award categories: President’s Award, Service Award, Leadership Award, Accessibility and Inclusion Award and Team Award.

“These awards provide us with a great opportunity to recognize the amazing contributions made by members of our support staff across the university,” says Mark O’Riley, director, learning and organizational development, human resources. “We need to take the time to celebrate our colleagues’ fantastic work.”

As in years previous, all nominees and nominators will be invited to a fun celebration at the Hub restaurant held on May 10, 2017. Attendees will have the opportunity to network, showcase their projects, play an interactive trivia game and partake in some refreshments.

“Having these types of events enhances our culture of leadership and teamwork,” adds O’Riley.

“Join us by nominating a staff member who builds up our outstanding work and learning environment.”

Nominations are due April 13. For more information regarding the awards and the nomination process, visit the human resources website.
