UMSATS Team Competes at Spaceport America in New Mexico

The team attended the Spaceport America 2022 competition, the largest rocket engineering conference and competition in the world, along side over 1,300 participants representing 95 higher education institutes from 16 countries across the globe.

Wind Energy Design Team takes win in Netherlands

For the first time since the pandemic, the team was able to compete in person this year at the The International Small Wind Turbine Contest (ISWTC) in Delft, Netherlands against eleven other design team from universities across the globe.

Investment in transit infrastructure opens door for sustainable engineering

July 12, 2022 — 
Recently, the Government of Canada, the Province and Manitoba and the City of Winnipeg announced a joint investment of more than $478 million to support the next generation of public transit infrastructure in Winniepg. Through this investment, the city will begin to transition to zero emission buses, design and build a new North Garage, improve accessibility for riders, and start design work on new rapid transit corridors.
