UM study aims to boost mental health of teens with Type 1 diabetes

A study led by a University of Manitoba researcher aims to improve the mental health of teenagers living with Type 1 diabetes by increasing physical activity and assigning them a peer mentor who has gone through similar experiences.

The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning will be welcoming more than one hundred guests from Manitoba’s educational institutions, including the University of Manitoba, Assiniboine Community College, University of Winnipeg, Université de Saint-Boniface, University College of the North, RRC Polytech, Robertson College, and the International College of Manitoba, as well as those from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario. We are also pleased to host guests from the United Kingdom and Australia to the 3rd biannual Canadian Symposium on Academic Integrity (CSAI 2023).

New teaching staff welcomed to Faculty of Law

The Office of the Dean of Law is pleased to advise that the University of Manitoba Board of Governors has confirmed the appointments of Yvan Larocque, and Andrea Doyle who will be commencing two-year Instructor II positions, and Dr. Akinwumi Ogunranti, who will commence a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Faculty of Law, all on July 1, 2023.
