The 2016 Arni Thorsteinson Study Exchange Program to Israel was a huge success. Thanks to an ongoing generous donation from Mr. Gerald Schwartz and Ms. Heather Reisman, 14 students from the Asper School of Business and 8 from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev were able to participate in this life changing experience from May 8 - June 2, 2016.

Free Press op-ed: Ezra project brings Yazidis to Canada

Ezra, the Hebrew word for "help" can take many forms including making donations, volunteering one’s time or offering advice. Recently, some members of Winnipeg’s Jewish community have gone over and above, offering ezra to bring Yazidi refugees to safety by committing to help privately sponsor seven Yazidi families and raising awareness about their persecution locally and nationally.
