This week, UM officially launched Change through Research, a five-year institutional strategic research plan that outlines key areas of expertise for maximum global impact by providing solutions to society’s most pressing challenges.

July 12, 2024 — 
The 2024 UM Faculty and Staff Golf Tournament will return to Kingswood Golf and Country Club on Monday, August 19. The event tees off in a shotgun start at 1:00 pm for nine holes and concludes with a BBQ from 4:00 – 5:30 pm.

The Copyright Office has updated resources and info sessions on topics including generative AI, locating free to use images, and copyright and note sharing websites.

Did you know that end-of-life battery recycling is mandated by the Province of Manitoba? This means that batteries cannot be disposed of in the landfill or recycling bins. Since its inception in 2011, the University of Manitoba’s Battery Recycling Program has diverted more than 5.7 tonnes of common household batteries from landfill, the equivalent of approximately 3 hippopotamuses.
