‘Keen scholar’ first recipient of Magsino award

The Faculty of Education’s first recipient of the Dr. Romulo & Patricia Magsino Prize in Education is described as “a keen scholar, an exceptional leader, and is highly active in community involvement.” Kristen Erickson was nominated by Dr. Michelle Honeyford, who taught the BEd graduate in two classes and worked with her on a four-month research project.

Proud moments highlight Campus Life celebration

Program coordinator Trevi Freeze recalls when graduate Paul Redmond shared his proudest moments at the University of Manitoba as the highlight of this year’s Campus Life end-of-year celebration. The celebration is an event where students share their university experiences in the Campus Life program, which supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities though auditing university courses.
