Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Support Fund recipients announced

The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Support Fund provides opportunities for professors, instructors and librarians to undertake projects that increase knowledge in pedagogy and learning. This year, six awards of $6,000 and one major award of $25,000 were awarded. Learn about Dr. Jason Peeler's research to improve clinical skills training in the area of musculoskeletal medicine.

Strategic Initiatives Support Fund projects generate momentum for UM’s strategic mission

UM student earns 4th in Canadian systems thinking competition

In 2024 UM participated for the first time in Map the System, a systems thinking competition. Unlike hackathons or case competitions where participants work towards a solution, Map the System is focused on deeply understanding a problem using systems thinking.

This year’s STRR reception was held on May 2 with Seth Lozinski (they/them) selected as the Faculty of Law’s Outstanding Student. In turn, Lozinski chose their high school French teacher Ingrid Moehlmann and Assistant Professor Brandon Trask from the Faculty of Law as teachers who had the biggest impact on their education.
