The University of Manitoba Bison track and field men finished 12th overall at the CIS Track and Field Championships in Toronto over the weekend. This is an improvement from 2015 when they finished 13th.

Basketball playoffs begin at home

The University of Manitoba Bison men's basketball team hosts the Fraser Valley Cascades in the Canada West quarter-finals this weekend. Games will be at Investors Group Athletic Centre on Thursday and Friday, March 3 and 4 at 7pm. If necessary, game three will be played on Saturday, March 5 at 3pm.

The University of Manitoba Bison women's hockey team had a thrilling win in overtime to send them onwards in the CIS Canada West playoffs. Bison Alexandra Anderson scored the game-winning goal in the final of a three-game series.

The University of Manitoba Bison men's volleyball team takes on the Mount Royal Cougars this weekend in the Canada West quarter-finals this weekend.
Bison women advance in playoffs

The University of Manitoba Bison women's hockey team kept their playoff run alive over the weekend. The herd won the best-of-three series two games to one against the Saskatchewan Huskies. Game three was the longest in Canada West women’s hockey history as it went to a fifth overtime period (139 minutes, two seconds).
