June 5, 2024 — 
Last week, more than three years since that winter break, Connor Egan addressed a crowd of over 1,600 at the 2024 International Distinguished Entrepreneur Award (IDEA) Gala, the premier event of The Associates of the Asper School of Business, to announce that the Price Student-Managed Investment Fund (PSMIF) has raised over $3.5 million. Just one week later at Spring Convocation, Connor Egan will walk with his fellow Asper graduates in celebration of all they have accomplished during their unique BComm journeys.

May 28, 2024 — 
Manager of Business Development at New Media Manitoba and Asper alum Corinne Gusnoski [BComm(Hons)/18] spends her days doing everything from consulting with Ubisoft Winnipeg to learning new applications for virtual reality (VR) technology. Despite Gusnoski’s tech-oriented work, her background is in business. Day-to-day, she works with interactive digital media companies and leverages her business expertise to support their goals.

April 12, 2024 — 
Asper BComm student Gilbert Eretchabor is currently working hard to revitalize the University of Manitoba Supply Chain Organization (UMSCO) as president and is a passionate advocate for the field. Supply chain isn’t something that Eretchabor pursued from the start of his degree, but some cogent advice from the Dean helped him see his future (and his past) in supply chain.

March 8, 2024 — 
Fidelia De Souza has always known that a CPA designation is her dream destination, and she’s started on a number of paths to getting there, always applying a more exploratory than prescriptive approach, but guided by a true passion for the practice of accounting.

February 22, 2024 — 
A BComm student, Darbara Kaushal’s Asper story so far is defined by connection. He has been involved in Asper case competitions and the University of Manitoba Actuarial Club (UMAC) since he started his BComm in 2022, right as UM students were returning to in-person learning full-time for the first time since 2020.

February 14, 2024 — 
When Asper BComm student Zahara Husain chose her majors, she thought as much about her career goals as she did her personal ones. With aspirations to pursue the Chartered Professional Human Resources (CPHR) designation after graduation, she is now completing a double major in human resource management and marketing.

January 5, 2024 — 
Alnaser’s story is international, already spanning an impressive portion of the globe. It is by engaging with diverse perspectives, cultures and people that he finds self-acceptance.

December 8, 2023 — 
The Asper School of Business is now accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), making the University of Manitoba the first university in Western Canada to receive this prestigious, globally recognized accreditation.

November 16, 2023 — 
Our community is full of talented students ranging from the Faculty of Science, Arts, Engineering, Business, and Graduate Studies, to name a few. At our Annual Convocation, we were proud to recognize our 2022/23 graduates from the College and our scholarship and bursary recipients.

October 19, 2023 — 
At Fall Convocation 2023, the Asper School of Business celebrates its first graduating cohort of Master of Supply Chain Management and Logistics (MSCM) students and a cohort of amazing new alumni!
